  • If you wish, you may bring a dessert to share. A table will be set up at the end of the food line.
  • Please arrive early enough to purchase your tickets so that we can begin eating at noon.
  • The 2007 NMDHA Field Day videos/DVD's will be available for purchase.

Agenda Items:

  1. Three Directors positions are open for election this year. Nominations will be accepted during the meeting with voting to follow, so start thinking about who you would like to nominate.
  2. A new Draft Horse Queen for 2008-2009 will be selected at the meeting. If your parents are active members of the club and own draft horses or mules, you are eligible to become a queen. Good public speaking skills are a real plus. You are also required to be present at our 2008 Field Day. Thank You---Amanda Schaefer, Cold Spring, MN---for representing our club this past year.
  3. A reminder on the voting rules as it is stated in the By-Laws. There is one vote per membership. A family membership is considered one vote. When you arrive and pay for your meal ticket, you will receive a ballot to vote for 3 Directors, and a ballot to vote for a Queen. Please save these until the meeting starts.

Annual Dues:

Please look on your mailing label. If the year printed is 2008, your membership is up for renewal in February and no further newsletters will be sent until membership is renewed. Membership renewals are $5.00 and may be paid at the annual meeting, or sent to treasurer JoAnn Holthaus at the address shown at the bottom of this newsletter.

Other News:

Each year at the Field Day we raffle off a foal as a fundraiser for our club. We will need to have a foal lined up for purchase this spring.
